Jason Christie was named Market President & Publisher of The Triangle Business Journal in August, 2015.

The media industry has been Christie’s passion throughout his career. From paper carrier to sports reporter, spot news photographer, online news director, advertising sales & beyond. He has dedicated his work life to the prosperity of the media & marketing industry. 

In 1995, Christie launched the first daily online newspaper derived from a print weekly in the United States. In 2000, he won his first bid on his hometown’s city council in Swartz Creek, Michigan, a position he held for 8 years, serving as Mayor Pro-Tem for four of those years. In 2004, he launched his first dot com company, dedicated to the promotion of legal notice publishing online.

Christie joined American City Business Journals (ACBJ) as Director of Advertising for the Charlotte Business Journal in 2014. ACBJ has 45 market centric business publications across the United States.

Christie and his wife, Becky, have three children who are all hockey goalies - Owen and twin daughters, Layla & Liberty. They reside in Morrisville.
